It really hit home for me when I realized that if I am not creating something in my life I feel dead.

I am wondering if every sensitive person feels the same about creating?

If this quote from Pearl S. Buck speaks to you, leave me a comment and let me know how you express your creativity.

Pearl S. Buck, (1892-1973), recipient of the Pulitzer Prize in 1932 and of the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1938, once said about highly sensitive people:

“The truly creative mind in any field is no more than this:
A human creature born abnormally, inhumanly sensitive.

To him…

a touch is a blow,
a sound is a noise,
a misfortune is a tragedy,
a joy is an ecstasy,
a friend is a lover,
a lover is a god,
and failure is death.

Add to this cruelly delicate organism the overpowering necessity to create, create, create —— so that without the creating of music or poetry or books or buildings or something of meaning, his very breath is cut off from him. He must create, must pour out creation. By some strange, unknown, inward urgency he is not really alive unless he is creating.”
—Pearl S. Buck

This past week I had attended the “Worlds Greatest Marketing Seminar.” There were a number of very successful speakers there sharing how they became wealthy. What struck me was how each of them were very interested in helping others become just as successful as they were.

There were around 600 attendees taking part in the learning offered. In listening to them share what they do, I was impressed to hear that a lot of them were spiritual people. Most had a message that they wanted to share with the world and were seeking a method to express it.

It provided me an opportunity to think about how many people do have something to say and no way to share it.

I have written a novel that I am preparing to have published. It is a story I have had inside me for most of my life. I allowed myself the space to write the story and then learned how to write a story. It is as if I needed to forget about the mechanics of writing to allow the creativity to flow. My intention is for my book to help others express who they truly are.

What do you need to be who you are?

Blessings
